I’ve been at this science journalism thing for nearly a couple of decades now, but I’m still – perhaps even more than ever – fascinated by how writers write; where the ideas come from, how they decide who to interview, how they research, how they structure, how it all comes together, and what they take away from each piece.
Working on the assumption that some of you might also be interested in this, I’ve set up a Substack newsletter called Nerd Scribe in which I dissect a piece I’ve written, every one or two weeks, and go behind the scenes to show you how it all came together.
